Let us teach you about farming in the most fun way! We open our doors to groups of all ages and sizes because we understand the importance of hands-on education. We personalize each farm tour and field trip, depending on the group’s interests. You will navigate our farm by taking hayrides out to the beautiful fields and orchards, greenhouses, outdoor classroom, our friendly animals and last but not least – having a great outdoor day at our family owned farm.
We offer personalized educational tours Monday through Friday (except holidays) for groups of 20 or more people. Our tours are suitable for all ages – everyone will learn something new and walk away with a small treasure to take home. A favorite field trip for students!

Giant Hay Pyramid
We have a huge hay pyramid that children love to climb on. This is a great group photo opportunity! Children are so excited when they arrive at the farm after the bus ride so this is a great activity that help them get the wiggles out!
Farm Related Activity
Whether you are picking or planting, learning about our crops, or feeding animals, there is something for everyone to do at the farm. We have a selection of activities to help you learn about food in the most fun and exciting way.
Tractor Drawn Wagon Ride
Take in the scenery in a peaceful and fun hay wagon ride through our fields and orchards. The beauty of our farm lays in the green scenery, delicious smells and lush green lawns as you travel to your destination. The hay ride is a great way to take it all in.
Lunch Area
We provide a lunch area for your group to enjoy after the tour – bring your own lunch or visit The Farmhouse District for a tasty snack. Please inquire about hours of availability.
Farm Animals
Alstede Farms has a variety of farm animals that you can visit and/or feed including cows, goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and more! Please inquire about animal feed with our event specialist.
Add Ons
For an additional fee, your group can enjoy Alstede fresh ice cream. Our ice cream is homemade using only the finest ingredients, real cream and our homegrown fruits. A great way to round out any field trip! Please inquire about pricing with our event specialist.
Alstede Farms has separate restroom facilities for men and women. Our restrooms have hot and cold running water as well as changing tables. We also provide a handicap accessible restroom. Inquire about our handicap accessible wagon.
