How to Prep, Store and Savor Like a Pro – May 4

It is time to make a plan!  Set up your kitchen and pantry and prepare for your herb garden. We will discuss the best techniques for storage and some simple methods of preparation of fresh fruits and vegetables. We will share some tried and true recipes and we will prepare for freezing and preserving for later use.  This class is intended for adults and older teens accompanied by a parent.

Fresh Tastes from the Market

Join us for "Fresh Tastes from the Market" culinary class featuring demos and tastings using winter produce and food from our farm store to help inspire your meal planning. This class is held in our farm store greenhouse where we will see the starter plants for the coming season for our inspirational backdrop. Samples include Griggstown Farms Pot Pies, our homemade soups, our homemade quiches, a healthy smoothie and so much more.

($5.99 per person for Fresh Discovery Club and CSA members)

Spring into Health

Spring into Health with us on the farm. The winter is coming to an end and our greenhouses are in full production planning for a bountiful season. In this class, we will inspire you to get ready to add fresh vegetables and greens from the field into your daily meal plan. Enjoy a cooking demonstration, tastings and a spring planting project provided by our culinary and educational specialist, Jenn Borealo.

Earth Day Event – POSTPONED

Enjoy an opportunity to learn about setting up and planting your own successful home garden with our expert Farm Production Manager, Craig Steely. The class will feature an educational component along with time for individual questions and answers, so you can be prepared for your backyard growing season. Our culinary and educational specialist, Jenn Borealo will also guide participants in a fun planting activity to take home.

Reservations are required as space is limited. Tickets are $9.99 per person with reduced price admission ($5.99) for Fresh Discovery Loyalty Club and Community Supported Agriculture members.
