DESCRIPTION:Our Pick Your Own Experience – Please Read Before Visiting\nOur Pick Your Own Experience operates a little differently than many other farms\, so please review the information below prior to your visit. \nApple picking continues with some important changes due to this year’s growing conditions! Pumpkins are available as part of our fall experience\, and our Corn Maze is open for the season! It’s a wonderful time to visit the farm and enjoy everything fall has to offer. \n🍎 Important Apple Picking Update – Please Read\nDue to the severe late-spring freeze that impacted our apple crop\, we will soon be running out of apples that are available on trees within reach in our Pick Your Own orchards. \nWhile we were fortunate to preserve much of our apple crop through extensive frost-protection efforts\, many of the remaining apples are located higher in the trees and are not easily accessible to guests. \nThe good news is that apples will continue to be available in our Pick Your Own orchards! \nTo ensure guests can continue enjoying fresh Alstede Farms apples\, our team is harvesting apples from the taller portions of our trees and placing them in bins located throughout our orchard rows. \nGuests will still have the opportunity to visit our beautiful orchards\, select their own farm-fresh apples from these bins\, and fill their farm-issued picking containers. \nPlease understand that traditional apple picking directly from the trees may be limited or unavailable depending on the date of your visit. We encourage all guests to plan accordingly and understand that the apple-picking experience may look a little different than in previous seasons. \nWe appreciate your understanding as we navigate the challenges presented by this year’s growing season and remain committed to providing an enjoyable fall experience for all our guests. \nPick Your Own Experience\nEach guest must purchase a Pick Your Own Entry Ticket\, which includes admission to the farm and one farm-issued picking container based on the crops you choose to harvest. \nApple Picking\nFresh Alstede Farms apples remain available as part of our Pick Your Own Experience! \nDue to the severe late-spring freeze\, apples within easy reach on our trees are becoming increasingly limited. SUMMARY:Pick Your Own 10/17/26 10:30 AM
As these apples are depleted\, guests will be able to select apples that our team has harvested from the taller portions of the trees and placed in bins throughout the orchard rows. \nPlease note that apples may not be available for picking directly from the trees during your visit. Guests should anticipate selecting their apples from the designated orchard bins as the season progresses. \nApple varieties available will change throughout the season based on harvest conditions and availability. \nPlease check our current What Can I Pick Today? information before your visit for the most up-to-date availability. \nPicking Container Options\nDepending on what is available for picking during your visit\, container options may include: \nProduce Boxes\nChoose from: \n\n5 lb. Box\n10 lb. Box\n25 lb. Box\n\nFill your box with the seasonal vegetables and/or apples available during your visit. \nApples harvested by our team and placed in designated orchard bins may be used to fill your farm-issued produce box\, just as apples picked directly from the trees would be. \n🎃 Pumpkin or Produce Option\nAs part of the Pick Your Own Experience\, guests can choose one of the following options with their admission: \n\nA farm-issued Produce Box to fill with eligible seasonal vegetables and/or apples available during their visit\, OR\nA $9.99 Pumpkin Credit to apply toward the purchase of a pumpkin.\n\nGuests choosing the pumpkin option may select their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. All pumpkins are weighed after picking and are priced at $0.89 per pound. The $9.99 pumpkin credit will be applied toward the total cost of the pumpkin. If the selected pumpkin costs more than $9.99 based on its weight\, the guest will be responsible for paying the difference. \nThe $9.99 pumpkin credit is provided in place of the included produce container and is not an additional benefit. The credit has no cash value\, and any unused portion is not refundable. \nFamily Pick Your Own Plan\nOur Family Plan is a great option for families looking to enjoy a day on the farm together. \nThe Family Plan includes: \n\nFour (4) Pick Your Own Admission Tickets\nOne (1) 25 lb. Pick Your Own Produce Box\n\nIt’s a great value for families looking to enjoy a variety of fresh vegetables and/or apples while experiencing everything the farm has to offer. \nPlease remember that apples may be available primarily in orchard bins rather than directly on the trees as the season progresses. \n🌽 Our Corn Maze Is Open!\nOur Corn Maze is officially open for the season and included with your Pick Your Own admission! \nMake your way through the twists and turns of the maze as part of your day on the farm.
