At the heart of farming lies a commitment to nourish not only the land but also the people who call it home. This year, we are proud to share that our farm has donated a staggering 62,000 pounds of food to organizations across the state. Through partnerships with Table of Hope, Interfaith Food Pantry Network, Church of the Messiah, Chester/Mendham Food Pantry, and Farmers Against Hunger, we are working to address the critical issue of food insecurity while fostering healthier communities.

Weekly Donations for a Healthier Tomorrow

From homegrown produce and freshly pressed cider to curated CSA produce boxes, our donations flow steadily throughout the season. These weekly contributions ensure that families in need have access to nutritious, locally grown food. By providing seasonal fruits and vegetables, we aim to bring fresh, nutrient-dense options to tables where they are often out of reach.

Why This Matters

Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge in many communities. According to Feeding America, millions of households across the country struggle to consistently access enough nutritious food. In New Jersey alone, nearly one in twelve people face food insecurity, with even higher rates among children and seniors. This lack of access to healthy food has far-reaching consequences, from malnutrition and chronic health conditions to diminished academic and professional opportunities.

As farmers, we recognize that our role extends beyond cultivating crops. We have a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between abundance and need, leveraging ourPick Your Own harvests to make a meaningful difference. By donating fresh produce, we help combat the prevalence of processed and calorie-dense but nutrient-poor diets often seen in food-insecure households. Instead, we offer wholesome alternatives that support physical and mental well-being.

Building Stronger Communities

Our efforts to combat food insecurity go hand in hand with fostering healthier neighborhoods. Fresh, local produce contributes to balanced diets, promoting better health outcomes. Moreover, distributing this food through community-focused organizations ensures it reaches those who need it most. Partners like Table of Hope and Farmers Against Hunger are instrumental in making this vision a reality, connecting us directly to underserved populations.
