Alstede Farms is proud to offer locally made and sourced products in our farm store to compliment our homegrown, sustainably grown produce and our other freshly prepared items. Eating locally is important to us on many levels and we know it is also important to you.  Eating locally sourced food from small business owners not only lowers your carbon footprint, it also provides opportunities to support other small businesses,  all part of our Environmental Social Governance practices. Offering small businesses floorspace in our market helps these like-minded businesses to get a start at selling products, aids in supporting the local economy and provides you with more choices for high quality products to feed your family. 

We are happy to feature many local, small business products in our farm store and will be highlighting them in our weekly blog. This week we are profiling My Dad’s Sauce. My Dad’s Sauce is a family owned small business that has created an all natural tomato sauce made with simple, wholesome, yet basic ingredients. Their sauces first ingredient is tomatoes and is always made with no added sugars or artificial ingredients and is proudly made in New Jersey!

TomatoMy Dad’s Sauce was started by Pat Turano’s 3 children out of a love for the sauce they grew up enjoying. After 30+ years of working in the restaurant industry as a chef and restaurateur, “My Dad’s Sauce” recipe was perfected and is now available nationwide. This is what the My Dad’s Sauce family says about having their product stocked on our shelves “We love having our product available at Alstede farm – a place where we grew up visiting during the fall season!” 

We know that My Dad’s Sauce will become one of your household staples when looking for a healthy, low sugar, low calorie option to add to any meal- not just pasta!  The Turano children love their dad’s sauce and have come together to share it with you, and it is now available at Alstede Farms which is open everyday!
