Fall is an exciting time to visit our farm when leaves start to turn and the warmer days turn into cooler nights. We are truly a farm for all seasons and you can come back and make a fresh discovery every time you visit.  You can expect to find our late summer harvest during the beginning of fall, as one season gracefully finishes and the next begins. This beautiful overlap period can be a wonderful time of discovery to get outside and explore nature in its glory.

Fall is traditional sweater weather synonymous with apples, corn mazes, and pumpkins, however, did you know that we also have sunflower fields still blooming along with late summer produce in the fields? We’re still enjoying beautiful weather on our farm and plenty of sunlight for our crops so we are still farming! Late summer crops on our farm include eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and sweet corn amongst zinnia, black-eyed Susan’s, sunflowers, and raspberries.  All of these crops (except for raspberries) are planted using succession farming which enables staggered maturity dates and an extended harvest season. This extended harvest season allows us to grow more food and invite you for an enjoyable visit this season.

Fall in this part of NJ officially enters on September 23rd corresponding with the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. The changing of the seasons marks a time when our ancestors would begin to slow down, change habits, and get ready to spend more time indoors. Our lives have evolved a bit since the olden days, however, we still find this a perfect time to get out and explore our farm before the long days of winter set in! There is plenty to see and do and our fall guide will help you get the most out of your visit so that you don’t miss a thing.

Five Insider’s Tips for the Ultimate Fall Farm Visit

  1. Check out our Plan Your Fall Visit Page on our Website before arriving.
  2. Purchase your all-inclusive tickets in advance on our website and arrive on time for your reservation. Your admission includes a container for picking as well as the cost to fill that container.
  3. Come prepared for a day of outdoor fun dressing according to the weather and farm landscape, including proper footwear. Remember your admission includes full-day access so be sure to soak in all the activities and features available to you. Maps of the pick-your-own fields and corn maze are available on-site.
  4. Allow the tractor-drawn wagon to take you to all of the points of interest to absorb all the views. The tractor is your transportation to get on and off as many times as you would like throughout the day including accessing all the different pick-your-own fields and maze attractions.
  5. Recharge and enjoy an apple cider donut, homemade ice cream, food from the Farmhouse district food trucks, or visit with our friendly farm animals while listening to live music on weekends. Be sure to take home apple cider or apple cider donuts as a souvenir of your visit.
