Nothing says fall quite like apples, and here at our farm, they’re more than just a fruit—they’re a tradition. We grow nearly 50 varieties across 45 acres, offering everything from sweet Honeycrisp to tart Granny Smith and vibrant Pink Lady. Whether you’re snacking fresh from the orchard, baking a pie, or sipping a glass of cider, our apples bring the flavor of autumn to life.
A Season in Three Parts
Apple season runs from August through November, with different varieties ripening along the way:
- Early Season (August–September): Honeycrisp, Gingergold, Gala, Paula Red, and more—best enjoyed fresh and eaten soon after picking.
- Mid-Season (September–October): Macoun, Empire, Cortland, and Jonamac—great for eating, baking, and storing for a few weeks.
- Late Season (October–November): Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Fuji, Winesap, and Braeburn—perfect for long-term storage and versatile uses.
More Than Apples
Our orchards don’t just produce apples for picking. We press them into fresh cider in our cider mill—a true taste of fall, whether you enjoy it warm, chilled, or mulled with spices. You’ll also find our apples in farm store favorites, CSA boxes, and seasonal farm-to-table dishes, including our Apple Harvest Breakfast this September.

Did you know there are more than 30,000 apple varieties worldwide and about 2,500 in the U.S.? According to the U.S. Apple Association, the country’s top ten favorites include Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady—all of which we grow here. With so many choices, it’s easy to find your go-to apple and discover new favorites.
Try This: Homemade Apple Chips
Looking for a simple fall snack? Apple chips are healthy, kid-friendly, and delicious. Just core and thinly slice your apples, arrange them on a baking sheet, sprinkle with cinnamon, and bake at 200°F for 2–3 hours (flipping halfway). For a quicker option, try your air fryer. Store them in an airtight container for a crunchy treat all season long.
