Our Pick Your Own Experience – Please Read Before Visiting

Our Pick Your Own Experience operates a little differently than many other farms, so please review the information below prior to your visit.

Pumpkin picking and fresh fall vegetables are taking center stage at Alstede Farms! Head into the fields to choose the perfect pumpkin, harvest seasonal vegetables, pick fresh apples from our orchards, and enjoy all the sights, flavors, and activities of fall on the farm.

Pick Your Own Experience

Each guest must purchase a Pick Your Own Entry Ticket, which includes admission to the farm and your choice of a farm-issued Produce Box or Pumpkin Credit, depending on the ticket selected.

Pumpkin Picking

The pumpkin patch is open! Take a scenic wagon ride out to the fields and choose your own pumpkin right where it was grown.

All pumpkins are $0.89 per pound and are weighed after picking. A minimum pumpkin price of $4.29 applies.

Guests selecting the $9.99 Pumpkin Credit option will have that credit applied toward the cost of their pumpkin. If your pumpkin costs more than $9.99, simply pay the difference.

The Pumpkin Credit is provided in place of a Produce Box and is not an additional benefit. It has no cash value, and any unused portion is not refundable.

Pick Your Own Vegetables

Fall is a wonderful time to harvest fresh vegetables directly from our fields!

The specific vegetables available will change throughout the season based on what is ripe and ready to harvest. Please check our current What Can I Pick Today? information before arriving for the most up-to-date crop availability.

Apple Picking

If apple picking is available during your visit, guests are welcome to visit our orchards and pick from the varieties that are currently ripe and ready.

Apple availability and varieties change throughout the season and are subject to crop conditions. Please check What Can I Pick Today? before your visit for the most up-to-date picking availability.

Produce Box Options

Guests choosing to harvest vegetables, apples, and other eligible crops can select from our farm-issued Produce Boxes:

• 5 lb. Box
• 10 lb. Box
• 25 lb. Box

Fill your box with eligible seasonal vegetables and/or apples available for picking during your visit.

Pumpkin or Produce – You Choose!

As part of the Pick Your Own Experience, guests can choose one of the following options with their admission:

• A farm-issued Produce Box to fill with eligible seasonal vegetables, apples, and other available crops, OR
• A $9.99 Pumpkin Credit to apply toward a pumpkin picked from our pumpkin patch.

This gives you the flexibility to make your visit all about pumpkins and farm-fresh fall produce, while still enjoying apple picking when available. Additional Produce Boxes and pumpkins may also be purchased during your visit.

Our Family Plan is a great option for families looking to spend a fall day together on the farm.

The Family Plan includes:
