As we celebrate National Farmers Market Week (August 3–9, 2025), there’s no better time to reflect on the power of local agriculture and the incredible bounty available right in our communities. From juicy peaches and crisp cucumbers to armfuls of vibrant flowers, this season is about connecting with the land, supporting local farmers, and savoring everything summer has to offer.

We’re proud to participate in 16 farmers markets across New Jersey and New York each week, along with four Alstede Fresh locations. These markets provide a direct connection between you and our farm—no middleman, just farm-fresh food and friendly faces.

Pick-Your-Own in Peak Season
In addition to celebrating local food, August is also the peak season for our pick-your-own vegetable and flower fields. From vine-ripened tomatoes and sweet peppers to vibrant sunflowers, zinnias, and cosmos, there’s no better time to head into the fields. Whether you’re harvesting ingredients for your next meal or handpicking a fresh bouquet, the experience is as joyful as it is beautiful. Bring your own scissors or borrow a pair from us and build a bouquet—or a basket—as unique as you are.

- Wear sturdy shoes and bring a bucket of water for the ride home.
- Bring own clippers and Cut stems at an angle to keep your blooms fresh longer.
