A Sweet New Tradition

Maple Morning Breakfast at Alstede Farms

There’s something special about starting the day on the farm with a hearty meal, and our guests agree! From our beloved Strawberry, Berry, and Apple Breakfasts to our Sun-Kissed Summer Lunch, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day Brunches, and festive Brunches with Santa and the Easter Bunny; each farm-to-table experience celebrates family time and fresh flavor. Every event includes an opportunity to learn how food is grown, with wagon rides to the fields and orchards for seasonal picking, whether it’s fruit, vegetables, or even a Christmas tree during the holidays.

Now, we’re excited to introduce our all-new Maple Morning Breakfast, a cozy fall tradition in the making. Enjoy a scenic wagon ride, then gather in Harvest Hall for a maple-inspired country buffet that celebrates the sweet taste of fall. It’s all part of our mission to grow healthy food to feed families, and to create memorable ways for you to enjoy it right here on the farm.

Sweet Connections: From Vermont to Our Farm

Our Maple Breakfast celebration is the perfect time to share a sweet story behind the maple syrup you’ll find in our farm market. We’re proud to now offer Hillsboro Sugarworks Maple Syrup, sourced from Starkboro, Vermont, a town neighboring Hinesburg, where Mary Thompson-Alstede grew up.

Our connection to Hillsboro Sugarworks runs deeper than geography. Farmer Kurt W. Alstede met Dave Folino, a member of the family behind Hillsboro Sugarworks, through Farm Credit East, an agricultural organization that provides financial services and management support to the farming community—helping bring our farms together. Both families share a deep-rooted appreciation for Vermont’s maple heritage and the time-honored craft of producing high-quality syrup.

Here on the farm, we also make our own maple syrup in Hinesburg, Vermont, from trees on Mary’s family property. It’s used in some of our homemade products, including our ice cream. Because demand for maple syrup often exceeds what we can produce ourselves, we’re grateful to supplement our supply with syrup from friends and neighbors like the Folino’s, fellow stewards of Vermont’s maple tradition.

Together, this partnership allows us to share a true taste of Vermont’s goodness with you, right here in New Jersey.

You’ll find the delicious taste of our maple syrup featured in maple-candied bacon at the upcoming Maple Morning Breakfast, in our maple bourbon roasted cashews, and in our creamy Maple Creemee ice cream – each a sweet reminder of the connection between the land, our farmers, and the food we share. By supporting small maple producers and using sustainable farming practices, we’re proud to continue a tradition that honors nature’s sweetness and the hard work that makes it possible. Here’s to savoring every drop of maple goodness, made with care, shared with love, and rooted in sustainability. Visit our farm store to shop for our maple products today.
