Our Pick Your Own Experience – Please Read Before Visiting

Our Pick Your Own Experience operates a little differently than many other farms, so please review the information below prior to your visit.

Pumpkin picking and fresh fall vegetables are taking center stage at Alstede Farms! Head into the fields to choose the perfect pumpkin, harvest seasonal vegetables, enjoy apples from our orchards, and experience all the sights, flavors, and activities of fall on the farm.

Important Apple Picking Update: Due to a severe late spring freeze, our supply of apples available for picking directly from the trees is becoming increasingly limited. To ensure guests can continue enjoying our farm-fresh apples, we will be offering apples harvested from the taller portions of our trees in bins located throughout our orchard rows.

Pick Your Own Experience

Each guest must purchase a Pick Your Own Entry Ticket, which includes admission to the farm and your choice of a farm-issued Produce Box or Pumpkin Credit, depending on the ticket selected.

Pumpkin Picking

The pumpkin patch is open! Take a scenic wagon ride out to the fields and choose your own pumpkin right where it was grown.

All pumpkins are $0.89 per pound and are weighed after picking. A minimum pumpkin price of $4.29 applies.

Guests selecting the $9.99 Pumpkin Credit option will have that credit applied toward the cost of their pumpkin. If your pumpkin costs more than $9.99, simply pay the difference.

The Pumpkin Credit is provided in place of a Produce Box and is not an additional benefit. It has no cash value, and any unused portion is not refundable.

Pick Your Own Vegetables

Fall is a wonderful time to harvest fresh vegetables directly from our fields!

The specific vegetables available will change throughout the season based on what is ripe and ready to harvest. Please check our current What Can I Pick Today? information before arriving for the most up-to-date crop availability.

Apple Picking – Important Seasonal Update

We want to share an important update regarding apple picking as we approach the end of the fall season.

Due to the severe late spring freeze earlier this year, our apple crop has been impacted, and we will soon be running out of apples that are available on trees within reach in our Pick Your Own orchards.

However, guests will still have the opportunity to enjoy our farm-fresh apples! Our team will continue harvesting apples from the taller portions of our apple trees and placing them in bins located throughout our orchard rows.

This allows guests to continue visiting our beautiful orchards and filling their farm-issued Produce Boxes with fresh Alstede Farms apples, even as traditional picking directly from the trees becomes limited or unavailable.

Please keep in mind:

• Apple picking directly from the trees may be limited or unavailable depending on remaining crop conditions.
• Farm-harvested apples will be available in designated bins throughout our orchard rows, subject to availability.
• Apple varieties and quantities will vary as the season progresses.
• Guests may use their farm-issued Produce Boxes for eligible apples and seasonal vegetables.

While traditional apple picking may be winding down, there is still plenty of fall harvesting to enjoy! Our pumpkin patch remains open, and a wonderful selection of seasonal vegetables continues to be available for Pick Your Own.

We encourage all guests to review our What Can I Pick Today? information before visiting for the latest updates on crop availability.
