Growing for Good

This past week brought two incredible moments of recognition for our farm, and we’re humbled and grateful to share the news with you.

Business of the Year – Jefferson Township 2025 Awards Dinner
We were honored to attend the Jefferson Township 2025 Awards Dinner, a heartfelt celebration of local businesses, leaders, and the positive impact they create in the community. It was a night filled with inspiration, connection, and pride in all that our region has accomplished together.

At the event, Alstede Fresh at Lindeken Farms was named Business of the Year — a tremendous honor that reminds us how fortunate we are to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community. From collaborative planning to day-to-day partnerships, it’s the people of Jefferson Township who make the work meaningful. We’re proud to serve this area and contribute to a growing local economy rooted in care and connection.

Our farm and family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Jefferson Township Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Bret Hartman, President, and Mayor Eric Wilsussen for their leadership and for this meaningful recognition. Your continued support helps small businesses like ours thrive.

If you haven’t visited our quaint farm market in Jefferson yet, now’s the perfect time! Stop by to explore our selection of freshly picked homegrown produce, delicious jarred items, and a bakery counter full of fresh-baked treats — including warm, crusty loaves of bread you won’t want to miss.

Outstanding Partnership Award – Interfaith Food Pantry Harvesting Hope Spring Gala
Later in the week, we had the privilege of attending the Interfaith Food Pantry’s Harvesting Hope Spring Gala — an evening that brought together nonprofits, partners, and changemakers united by one mission: fighting food insecurity.

At the gala, Alstede Farms received the Outstanding Partnership Award in recognition of our ongoing collaboration with the Interfaith Food Pantry. Since 2007, we’ve proudly partnered with this remarkable organization, and in that time, we’ve donated more than 283,000 pounds of fresh produce to families in need across the region. This award is deeply meaningful to us — not just as a farm, but as part of a community committed to ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, nourishing food.

We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, Carolyn Lake, Executive Director, Shana Baer, Director of Development, and the Board of Trustees for their unwavering dedication and thoughtful partnership. Working with you has been both an honor and an inspiration.

Being recognized alongside so many passionate changemakers only strengthens our commitment to “growing for good.”

Gratitude to Our Community
These awards are not just a reflection of our team’s efforts — they’re a testament to every customer, visitor, and partner who supports our farm. When you visit, shop, or share our story, you help us plant seeds of change that go far beyond the fields.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We’re honored to grow with you, and we look forward to continuing to make an impact — together.
