Late summer is one of the most beautiful times to visit Alstede Farms. The fields are bursting with fresh vegetables, giant sunflowers are in bloom, live music fills the air on weekends, and the farm is alive with activities, delicious food, and plenty of places to relax. Whether you’re planning a family outing, gathering with friends, or simply looking for a fun day outdoors, you’ll find something for everyone at the farm.
Celebrate Peach & Summer Festival Weekend
Join us on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 for our annual Peach & Summer Festival Weekend, a celebration of the best flavors and experiences of the season.
While Mother Nature had other plans for this year’s peach crop, the festival is still packed with summer fun. An unusual April cold snap unfortunately impacted our peach harvest, so Pick Your Own peaches will not be available this season.
But don’t let that stop you from celebrating! Fresh New Jersey peaches will still be available for purchase in our Farm Store and farm market locations, and you’ll find plenty of delicious peach-inspired baked goods, desserts, beverages, and seasonal treats throughout the weekend.
Most importantly, the farm is overflowing with experiences that make summer unforgettable.
Pick Your Own Summer Harvest
There’s nothing quite like harvesting your own food straight from the field.
Every Pick Your Own Entry Ticket includes admission to the farm and a farm-issued container to fill with a colorful assortment of seasonal vegetables. Depending on field conditions, guests may harvest favorites like sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beans, eggplant, squash, and more.
It’s a hands-on experience that lets families connect with where their food comes from while making memories together.
Wander Through Our Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail
One of the most spectacular sights on the farm this time of year is our Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail.
To keep the beauty blooming throughout the season, we’ve planted multiple fields of sunflowers that bloom in succession. Weather permitting, visitors can enjoy walking through towering fields of golden sunflowers from now through the fall, making each visit a little different as new blooms reach their peak.
Bring your camera because this is one of the most scenic places on the farm. Whether you’re snapping family portraits, vacation photos, or the perfect summer selfie, the sunflower fields provide an unforgettable backdrop.
Looking for a keepsake? Guests may cut their own bouquet of sunflowers to take home as a reminder of their visit. You’ll also discover colorful companion flowers throughout the fields, allowing you to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind bouquet to brighten your home.
Family Fun Around Every Corner
Adventure awaits around every bend at Alstede Farms.
Take a scenic hay wagon ride through the farm, challenge your family in the Evergreen Adventure Maze, climb the Giant Hay Pyramid, race down the Tractor Tire Slide, and enjoy children’s activities throughout the day.
Younger visitors love meeting our friendly farm animals, while parents and grandparents can slow down, relax on our oversized tire swings beneath the shade trees, and simply enjoy the peaceful beauty of the countryside.

Make your festival weekend even more memorable by reserving a seat at our Farm-to-Table Peach & Summer Harvest Breakfast.
Guests begin the morning with a scenic tractor-drawn wagon ride to Harvest Hall before enjoying a hearty breakfast featuring:
- Homemade pancakes with fresh peach topping
- Farm-fresh eggs
- Breakfast potatoes
- Seasonal breakfast meats
- Coffee, juice, and other beverages
Choose between a Breakfast-Only Ticket or a Breakfast + Pick Your Own Experience, which includes admission to the farm, a five-pound harvest box for seasonal vegetables, and access to all featured attractions.
Advance reservations are required, with check-in available every 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
