Yellow summer squash has thin edible skins, mild flavor and is quick cooking. This squash is tasty in baked casseroles or broiled with your favorite stuffing. Yellow squash is also delicious grilled or sauteed.

Alstede Fresh Summer Squash – 8-Ball

Eight ball squash come in green and yellow skins. Both varieties have a light colored flesh with flavor that is similar to zucchini and can be substituted in recipes calling for zucchini. Sold individually, not available for shipping.

Our own homegrown zucchini, also known as green summer squash, has a mild flavor with a tender texture. It is very versatile and is used in both sweet and savory recipes. Zucchini can be used in soups, stir fries or can be made into noodles as a healthy alternative to pasta. Zucchini can also be used in baked goods like zucchini bread.
