Lodi apples are the first apples of the season. Early apples are tart so you will have to add some sugar to this applesauce. These apples do not have great keeping quality so use them as soon as possible.
2-3 Lodi apples
Peel, core and slice into 8ths.
pour ¼ c apple cider or water into a 2 qt sauce pan. Add the apples.
Simmer until the apples are tender.
Add 3 T sugar, (or to taste!) add- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and of a pinch of nutmeg.
